How FindIt works
A smart campus lost & found: report an item in under a minute, let the matching engine do the searching, and hand belongings back safely with verified claims.
Smart matching (0-100)
Every new report is compared against the opposite board. Category, item name, location, date proximity and description each contribute to a transparent score.
Verified claims
Claimants must describe proof of ownership. Contact details are revealed only after an administrator approves the claim.
Unique item codes
Each report gets a code like FI-F-3A9C21 with a QR code, so a physical tag on the item links straight back to its listing.
Camera capture
On a phone you can shoot the item directly from the report form instead of hunting through your gallery.
Offline-first
Install FindIt to your home screen. Previously visited pages keep working without a connection, and an indicator tells you when you are offline.
